Getting to the point where you decided you would like to enter a residential rehab is hard enough - having to wait months to get started can seem impossible. That's where the beauty of private care comes in - the wait times for Ocean Hills guests is sometimes days or only 1-2 weeks.
Our therapy programme is based on gold-standard, clinically proven models of therapy and although we support many forms of recovery, we don't focus on the 12-steps programme.
Another bonus is the ability to choose a programme that suits your circumstances - with stays available from 2-4 weeks, it makes going to rehab easier to fit around responsibilities and commitments to work and family.
Being a boutique facility is only one of the ways that we can offering a personl touch. Ocean Hills founder, Elaine Atkinson, is a recovering alcoholic of 17 years and provides compassionate hands-on attention in the rehab of clients.
Ocean Hills also stands apart from all rehabs in our ability to give one-on-one attention. With a maximum of four guests, our premium premises has four beautiful guest rooms with a team of qualified addiction and mental health professionals that is dedicated to providing 24-hour support and care.
Privacy, discretion and safety is paramount. There is no signage identifying Ocean Hills and we have strict security measures in place, including security cameras, to ensure your privacy and safety.
Being so close to the sea - literally only metres across the road - provides our guests with a nurturing, healing environment. Our premium accommodation is beautifully appointed with homely comforts and home-cooked meals. We also offer activities like yoga, art therapy and lots of time in the beautiful nature that Hawke's Bay has to offer.
We manage costs carefully, balancing the need to provide the best of 24/7 clinical care with affordability. Although the upfront fee for Ocean Hills is an investment, many guests have commented that the amount they would spend on their addiction over 12 months far outweighs the cost of treatment to get well, and stay that way.
Finally, the Ocean Hills teams is proud to offer continuing care to support our guests after staying with us. Our Aftercare Programme includes a month of telephone counselling and unlimited support in our weekly online support group. We also offer an extra sober coaching service, run by our registered mental health coach Paulette Crowley.
